The Black Cat. A new cafe that recently opened. Everyone's heard of it, yet very few can seem to find it.
That is because it cannot be stumbled upon, and those who know the way, so they can guide others to it, must carefully choose who they trust.
After all, a balance between worlds must be kept, and if any mistakes in trust are made... well then.. the owners of the cafe will have to take drastic measures...
You stand outside the worn old building with the invitation in your hand, a look of confusion on your face. This can't be the place, surely. There appears to be nothing here! Perhaps this is some sort of joke?
But as you turn to leave, a door at the side of the building slowly opens. A figure walks out with a notebook towards you, a reassuring smile on their face. There seems to be something peculiar about them...
"Welcome to the Black Cat Cafe! May I take your order?"
What is The Black Cat?
The Black Cat is a cafe that recently opened in town. But there appears to be a mysterious atmosphere to the place. On the menu are rare and exotic foods from all over the world - and even from other worlds!
Waiters are expected to serve food for a number of people, elves, dragons and werewolves. Each order must be served correctly, and walking out without paying is the least of your worries...
How Do I Join?
Simple - just make an account, and post your application form in the Character Profiles board! We'll review it and see if we think you're human (or goblin) enough to post, and you'll get an email saying you're fit to join the role play.
Can I become a Moderator?
All new forum members (excluding staff) are required to remain guests at the cafe until we think you are ready to be promoted to moderator status. We will email you when we think you are ready to advance to a higher status.
Until then, do NOT keep asking us. It's bad manners and will probably lower your chances of becoming a moderator at all.
What are the Forum Rules?
1. The admins and mods make the final decisions.
If you have a problem with anything, message the moderators first! Mods and Admins are the ones in charge of the site, and we hope to keep it that way.
2. Treat people as you want to be treated.
How do you think you would feel if someone came up to you and called you a "poohead"? It's not the nicest feeling ever, so let's try to keep this forum friendly and fun.
3. Keep your posts suitable
All posts must be PG-13; we don't want to scare the little ones do we? Blood and violence is allowed, but please don't go overboard. Sexual content has to be kept to a strict minimum.
4. No advertising.
If your topics or posts contain messages like "I need more members ):" or "This site is better than Black Cat join here!", then you are advertising. Please don't do this, it's a form of spam and we've given you your signatures to do so. (YouTube and deviantART links are allowed though.)
5. No Spamming
This includes pointless "Helloooooooooo " topics, one word posts (all posts must have at least five words), trying to increase your post count, advertising, and clogging up the forums in general. Any topics not related to Black Cat Cafe or the Art, Music and Writing boards are to be posted in Random and must follow the forum rules at all times. Anyone breaking these rules will have their post deleted and their topic locked.
6. If you use images in your signature, keep them small.
Some users don't have internet as fast as you, and having a large image on every post means that topics can take a year or more to load. And some people don't want a giant picture taking up half a page, so all images must be a maximum of 30kb.
7. Make sure your posts stay readable.
Please try to use respectable spelling and grammar. This includes long walls of smileys or stretching words to make them "looooooooonnnnnnnnggggggeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr".
We hope you can follow these rules, and enjoy your stay at the Black Cat!
